Conditions of Appointment : |
Successful candidates will be appointed, in the first instance, on a (3) three year contract. Renewal of the contract is base on mutual agreement. Benefits, includes air fares, children’s education allowance, annual leave with pay, subsidized housing, an interest free car loan and gratuity of 25% of the final basic salary for Division I, II and III and 15% for Division IV, for each completed month payable at the end of each contact. At present, there is no income tax in Brunei Darussalam. |

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [MEDICAL OFFICER]
1. Responsible to the Director of Health Services and Head of Division.
2. As a medical officer in the Community Health Services, the job includes all aspect of primary health care such as outpatient services, maternal and child health services, school health services and health promotion and education.
3. To participate in outside office hours duty as ‘on-call’ or ‘stand by duty’ in rotation.
4. To provide an efficient, effective and personalised services to the public.
5. To prepare patient’s medical report if needed.
6. To provide medical care in major disaster or emergencies when needed.
7. To give health education and promotion information to the public as well as participating in the health promotion activities.
8. Continuously improving knowledge on latest evidence-based medicine.

4. Perform ward radiography and operating theatre radiography using mobile units and C-Arm imaging.

6. Prepare workload statistics and monthly stock requirements to assign areas and/or other duties as assigned by the Senior Radiographer.

2. To prepare a management plan for the Accreditation and Quality Centre.
3. To prepare manuals and procedures for the purpose of managing a Conformity Assessment System.
4. To prepare a plan and framework for the development of the Accreditation and Quality Centre’s reference and sales services for standards and quality programmes.
5. To manage and regulate networking agreements with domestic and foreign certification bodies that provide certification services to the local small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) in various sectors (products and services).
6. To plan, develop and promote the National Certification Systems or Schemes.
7. To prepare an implementation plan of the publication programmes on standards, quality management and others related to National Standards / Conformity Assessment System in Brunei Darussalam.

1. To assist Senior Project Officer in preparing, developing, implementing, monitoring and managing systems, procedures and programmes on National Standard and other required quality systems in various sectors.
2. To assist Senior Project Officer in developing procedures for National Standards.
3. To assist Senior Project Officer in developing reference system and sales services programmes on standards.
4. To collect foreign and international publications on standards and related topics, and hence to prepare publication programmes on quality management and related topics for the National Standards / Conformity Assessment System of Brunei Darussalam.
5. To coordinate works and activities related to the establishment and development of Technical Committee (TECO) of the National Standards System in various sectors.
6. To coordinate and monitor the implementation of local product testing and equipment calibrations for certification purposes.
7. To assist Senior Project Officer in developing quality procedures and manuals on quality for the purposes of certification and testing systems.
8. To assess and carry out internal auditing on local food laboratories, products and factories.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [PLANT ENTOMOLOGIST]
1. To conduct identification of insects and carry out advisory work on the control of plant pest, especially those caused by insect, mite and vertebrate pest.
2. To plan and conduct research, compile data and make recommendation on the control of plant pest.
3. To prepare project/working paper on the control of invertebrate and vertebrate pests and responsible for the implementation of the proposed project.
4. To plan and be responsible for updating and upgrading of insect collection and insect taxonomy work in the Plant Pest Unit.
5. To prepare reports and leaflets on plant pest of economic importance.
6. To conduct training on plant pest and their control for officers, junior staff and farmers.
7. Assisting the Head of Unit in upgrading the services and facilities of the Plant Pest Unit laboratory from time to time.
8. To be responsible to the Head of Plant Pest Unit and assist in administration and general official duties in his/her absence.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
a) Possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) or its equivalent in Computer Studies/Computer Science/Computer Networking or other related field recognize by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.
Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage.
b) Has a minimum of five (5) years working experience or relevant commercial/industrial experience.
c) Possess a Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Teaching and teaching experience is
an advantage.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
a) Possess a Bachelor Degree (Hons.) or its equivalent in any of the following subjects
recognised by the Government of Brunei Darussalam:-
i) English Language
ii) Art
iii) Physical Education
iv) Design and Technology
v) Home Science / Food and Nutritions
vi) Woodwork
Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage.
b) Possess a Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Teaching or its equivalent.
c) Has a minimum experience of five (5) years full time secondary classroom teaching.
d) Preference will be given to applicants who have had experience in preparing students
for Ordinary and Advance Level GCE Examinations or equivalents and who are
competent to teach both their subjects specialization as well as another
minor subject in English medium.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(a) Aged preferably 45 years or below.

Successful candidates will be posted to Secondary Schools and Colleges in Brunei Darussalam to teach in relevant subjects.
