Conditions of Appointment :

Successful candidates will be appointed, in the first instance, on a (3) three year contract. Renewal of the contract is base on mutual agreement. Benefits, includes air fares, children’s education allowance, annual leave with pay, subsidized housing, an interest free car loan and gratuity of 25% of the final basic salary for Division I, II and III and 15% for Division IV,  for each completed month payable at the end of each contact.

 At present, there is no income tax in Brunei Darussalam.

General :

1.  Must be prepared to perform duties outside normal working    

     hours,on shift duties / on-call or during public holidays, and       also must be prepared to serve in any part of Brunei  

     Darussalam.

2.  Has a valid driving license.

3.  Maintain a high professional standard at all times.

ii)  Has a minimum of twelve (12) years working experience in managing organization(s) in the area of standards, quality and accreditation matters.

 

iii) Preferably a professional member of national or international standards and accreditation bodies or organizations.

 

iv)  Has presented or produced research or working papers on the strategic planning of  

     standards development and quality management or other similar related matters in  any publication or journal recognised internationally (Must be attached with the application).              

    b) An original concepts paper (A4 size) in English on two (2) out of the topics listed below must

i)   Preparation of a financial statement for the establishment of Conformity Assessment

    System Services.

 

ii)  Advantages and disadvantages of adopting regional and international standards in developing a National Standard.

 

iii)  The Quality development and promotional programmes that are required by Small and Medium Enterprises (SME).

Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage.

 

ii)  Possess a minimum of eight (8) years working experience in managing conformity assessment services or development and management of quality as well as in development of Standards and Accreditation System.

 

iii) Preferably a professional member of national or international standards and accreditation bodies or organizations.

 

iv) Possess some experience in establishing, managing and developing infrastructure systems in conformity assessment services which deal with laboratory testing and calibration as well as certification system including the dissemination of standards.

2.   To prepare a management plan for the Accreditation and Quality Centre.

 

3.   To prepare manuals and procedures for the purpose of managing a Conformity Assessment System.
