1)  Supervising of the Field Studies Centre and responsible for the well being of the Centre in general including staff members under his care and all visitors to the Centre.

 

2)  Responsible for planning and supervising the day to day duties of all member staff under his care.

 

3)  Ensuring that the infrastructure (buildings, walkways, etc) and other facilities (electrical generator, water pump, etc) of the Centre are always in good (working) condition.

 

4)  Ensuring that the supplies for the Centre such as fuel, gas, groceries, etc are sufficient and always available on site.

 

5)  Responsible for good maintenance of field facilities such as forest trails, forest plots, overnight huts, etc.

 

6)  Responsible for meeting the general needs of scientists for their research activities both in the laboratory and field.

 

7)  Responsible for carrying out an annual appraisal of KBFSC staff under his care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [SENIOR PLANT PATHLOGIST]

 

1)    Diagnose and identify disease vectors on plant samples.

 

2)    Carry out diagnostic assignment and to advise on plant diseases particularly caused by bacteria and
  viruses.

 

3)    Plan and conduct experiments, acquire information and to recommend control measures in the
  related fields.

 

4)    Prepare technical project papers, giving guidance and conduct training courses.

UALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR SALARY SCALE GROUP 2

 

a) Possess a Primary Medical Degree: MBBS or its equivalent recognized by Brunei Darussalam Medical Board.

 

b)  Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or its equivalent.

 

c)  Has a minimum of 5 years experience as a Specialist Sport Physician post membership.

 

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR SALARY SCALE B.3

 

a) Possess a Primary Medical Degree: MBBS or its equivalent recognized by Brunei Darussalam Medical Board.

 

b)  Possess a Post-Graduate Qualification in this field or its equivalent.

 

c)  Has a minimum of 6 years experience in this field post registration.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [SPORT SPECIALIST PHYSICIAN]

 

1) Responsible to the Director of Medical and Health Services in the provision of Specialist Medical Services.

 

2)  Will run his / her own unit in hospital or work with other Specialist Sports Physician.

 

3)  May be expected to improve or start a new specialty.
