  3. Has a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the veterinary / science laboratory.
     

  4. Must be competent in microbiological techniques/analysis and handling of laboratory equipment such PCR.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS CHIEF LABORATORY TECHNICIAN 

  1. Responsible in the microbiology laboratory to support the food safety and quality assurance programmes.
     

  2. Responsible in carrying out all the laboratory work involved and also in determining the appropriate laboratory techniques to be applied.
     

  3. Responsible for the laboratory analysis and also for the development and implementation of laboratory techniques.
     

  4. Supervising and deployment of technical staff as organising the laboratory work schedule.
     

  5. Prepare reports of the laboratory results / findings.
     

  6. Responsible for the maintenance of laboratory equipment.
     

  7. Involved in stock control, stock check, requisitioning and receipt of laboratory supplies.
     

  8. Willing to perform tasks or assignment given from time to time.
