QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

1. Possess a PhD or equivalent professional accreditation and study in the relevant discipline (content/methodology) from a university or equivalent institution recognized by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.
    

2. Possess a minimum of five (5) years experience as an Associate Professor or Professional experience in a relevant discipline.
    

3. Have extensive administrative experience and have shown professional academic leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS PROFESSOR 

1. Giving lectures and tutorials to graduates/students in relevant discipline.
    

2. Conduct research activities and produce publication in his/her field of specialty.
    

3. Giving supervision to students’ projects and practical works (teaching practice).
    

4. Ready to perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department, Assistant Ra’is and Ra’is from time to time.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS PRINCIPAL LECTURER 

1. Prepare and conduct lectures, case studies, role plays, tutorials and laboratory sessions.
    

2. Prepare exercise, assess assignments and examinations.
    

3. Review and amend units as appropriate within the approved framework.
    

4. Participate in periodic review and development, including the preparation of new submission to BDTVEC.
    

5. Carry out any research, consultancy or short course work as may be agreed in accordance with Institut Teknologi Brunei policy.
    

6. Develop a resource file for which a lecturing responsibility is held.
    

7. Attend Course Committees of any course for which a lecturing responsibility is held.
    

8. Edit Institut Teknologi Brunei documents from time to time.
    

9. Conduct or organize courses for staff and student personal development.
    

10. Liaise and coordinate with colleagues in all of the above.
     

11. Perform relevant training and administrative duties.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

1. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) or its equivalent in Technical Education using wood, metal and plastic as material (Design & Technology) from University or Institute of Higher Learning recognized by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS SENIOR TECHNICAL INSTRUCTOR

1.      Teach job-specific skills and its underpinning knowledge to students of both certificate and diploma level.

2.      Perform instructional planning, implementation and evaluation as well as classroom, laboratory, workshop and farm management.

3.      Sets assessment and examination papers, co-ordinates marking schemes and moderates assessments and examinations.

4.      Participate in and contribute towards curriculum development.

5.      Actively assists the Head of Departments to ensure the quality and standards of teaching and learning of the subject.

6.      Plan, design and conduct research.

7.      Establish and maintain strong links and collaboration with the industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS TECHNICAL INSTRUCTOR (A)

1.      Plans, prepares and delivers lessons.

2.      Assigns work, corrects and marks regularly all forms of assessments carried out by his/her students.

3.      Assesses records and reports on the development, progress and attainment and behaviour or his/her students.

4.      Participate in and contribute towards curriculum development.

5.      Appointed or elected to committees; standing or ad hoc.

6.      Communicates, consults and co-operates with other members of the school staff, including those having posts of special responsibility and parents in the interest of students.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS TECHNICAL INSTRUCTOR (B)

1.      Teaching and training students in their respective programme of their studies.

2.      Assisting in the development of curriculum.

3.      Designing and developing relevant teaching aids materials.

4.      Supervising students in extra curricular activities.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) or its equivalent in any of the following subjects from University or Institute of Higher Learning recognized by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.

Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage. 

2. Possess a Postgraduate Diploma / Certificate in Teaching or its equivalent.
    

3. Has a minimum experience of five (5) years full time secondary classroom teaching.
    

4. Preference will be given to applicants who have had experience in preparing students for Ordinary GCE Examinations or equivalent and who are competent to teach both their subjects specialization as well as another minor subject in English medium and/ or experience in counselling or teaching slow learner or gifted children.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TEACHER (A)

Successful applicants:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TEACHER (B)

Teaching general subjects in Economics / Chemistry / Physics / Mathematics and Biology in Arabic Secondary Schools, Ministry of Religious Affairs.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

a)     Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Islamic Studies recognised by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.

Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage.

b)     Possess a Postgraduate Diploma / Certificate in Teaching or its equivalent.

c)     Has a minimum teaching experience of five (5) years.

d)     Proficient in Info Communication Technology is an advantage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1)      Teaching Arabic Subject in Secondary Schools and Arabic Preparatory.

2)      Supervising students in Co-curriculum activities.

3)      Any other duties as directed by Head Department of Islamic Studies and Principals from time to time.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

a)     Muslim, practicing Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah, School of Shafi’e.

b)     Must have strong religious background and deep understanding of religious matters at a level that fulfils the requirement of The State Mufti’s Office.

c)     Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Professional qualification in translation or related field recognised by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.

Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage.

d)     Must have a minimum of five (5) years working experience in professional translation after obtaining the qualification as mentioned above.

(a)  Possess good ethics and respectability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS TRANSLATION SPECIALIST

1.      Translating knowledge book (Muktabar).

2.      Translating books, documents and others.

3.      Other duties assigned thereto from time to time.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

a)     Possess Msc or Phd in molecular biology, virology, immunology or other related field recognized by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.  A strong background in general molecular genetic technique including DNA isolation, PCR design and applications, large construct cloning and sequencing is necessary. Experience in primary and secondary cell culture and virus propagation is necessary. 

         Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage.

b)     Biotechnology or molecular biology laboratory experience is a must.

c)     Work experience is using bioinformatics tools in genomics and proteomics is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS SENIOR LIVESTOCK HUSBANDARY OFFICER

Should have strong background in molecular biology including:

1.      Design of recombinant DNA molecules, including planning of cloning protocols.

2.      Use of software packages such as vector BTI

3.      General and recombination based cloning methods

4.      Southern, Northern and Western blotting

5.      The Polymerase Chain Reaction

6.      Lead research and development programmes

7.      Conceptualization of ideas, design, documentation and presentation of plans.

8.      Planning and managing project deliverables.

9.      Contribute ideas and methodologies on continuous developments and improvements.

10.  Supervise the development and implementation of laboratory techniques.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

a)     Possess a Bachelor Degree (Hons) or its equivalent in Occupational Therapy or other related field recognized by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.

Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage.

b)     Possess a minimum of five (5) years experience as an Occupational Therapist or Professional experience in a relevant discipline.

c)     A good command of written and spoken English.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

1. Implementing and coordinating Occupational Therapy Services for students with special needs in schools.
    

2. Providing assessment, advice and intervention programmes (Therapy sessions) for students with special needs either in schools or other relevant settings.
    

3. To work together with other sections in Special Education Unit and conducting relevant training programmes for staff and teachers.
    

4. To make schools visit and assist students who are in need of occupational therapy services.
    

5. Conducting workshop of professional development activities for Special Education Teacher (SENA Teachers) and parents in the area of occupational therapy.
    

6. Preparing a report on the development and achievement of students in the programme provided by occupational therapist.
    

7. Coordinate and collaborate with other government and non-government agencies related with occupational therapy services and students with special needs.  (Member of multi disciplinary committee).
    

8. Any other duties as directed by the head of the unit.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

1. Possess a Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in Occupational Therapy recognized by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.
    

2. Has a minimum of five (5) years Post Graduate multi-disciplinary clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings including treatment of orthopaedic, neuromedical, neurosurgical, paediatric, mental health and burns cases.
    

3. Preference will be given to candidates who possess clinical skills ini one or more of the specialized fields such as head injuries, spinal injuries, stroke rehabilitation, burns/scar management, hand injuries and orthotics, rheumatology, paediatric rehabilitation, oncology and renal rehabilitation.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (B)

1. Responisble to the head occupational therapist and senior occupational therapists on matters related to occupational theraphy.
    

2. Undertake clinical duties within allocated work areas and participate in all tasks allied to the assessment, treatment and resettlement of patients, including home visits and worksite visits.
    

3. Participate in development and education programmes for occupational therapy staff, including junior Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapist Assistant training programmes.
    

4. Assisting in general administrative duties of the unit as required.
    

5. Acting as relief therapist for the therapists who are away on annual leave or further training.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

1. Possess a Bachelor Degree (Hons.) or its equivalent in production technique / printing / information management or other related field recognised by the Government of Brunei Darussalam.
   
   Higher qualification in the above or related field is an advantage.
    

2. Has a minimum of five (5) years of experience in research, planning and production development and academic writing or in academic production management.
    

3. Skilful in using Technology Production, i.e. Desktop Publishing or PageMaker, etc.
    

4. Wide knowledge in printing technology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS HEAD OF PRODUCTIONS

1. Act as the Head of the University Publication Division and responsible for legislating coordinating and implementing the University Publication Policy and Regulations.
    

2. Devise and implement the Division strategic goals and objectives.
    

3. To plan and administer the Division annual project and activities.
    

4. To prepare the Annul Report and the Annual Expenditure requirements of the Division.
    

5. To act as the secretary to the University Publication Committee.
    

6. Responsible for the management of Human Resource Development of staff and personnel of the Division.
    

7. To coordinate all the editorial works of the University Publications.
    

8. To ensure that all works published by the University are of the highest quality and free from intellectual property infringement.
    

9. Responsible for the production of the University newsletter and brochure.
    

10. Responsible for coordination meeting of the University Publications Committee.
